Technology distributes and accelerates our efforts to build community and foster deeper ministry engagement. I love it when I see churches using Church Community Builder to move members through processes which lead to greater connection, commitment and sense of belonging. I just returned from a week in Florida at the Exponential Conference. I love this event! I get to connect with amazing people who serve the local church and in the churches we serve at Church Community Builder. There was one evening that stands out: I was relaxing with my team by the pool and we met a group of church planters who partnered with us a year ago. They shared incredible stories about their ministry in Los Angeles and how our systems are helping them make an impact in the city. I can tell you that we were all highly encouraged and motivated that night!
For me, this was a reminder about how wonderful it is to get out of the office. I need to do it more! Avoiding the office completely is a bit extreme, I’ll give you that. Last month I started a thread on online giving for churches. There’s so much more to this topic than just talking about whether or not a church should do it. At least for the churches I interact with, it’s not a decision of “should” but “how.”
